Declutter A Space Race! Get Ready, Get Set… Declutter!
Hey friend! Join me in today’s challenge! A Declutter a Space Race!
Let’ address that slow drip of stuff entering our lives that builds into the clutter that messes up our homes. Every little thing you buy, every piece of paper that enters through your door and every email and message incoming on your digital device is slowly growing into a mountain!
There’s no escaping it, it happens to us all. Even to a minimalist!
Piles of paper, drawers jammed with junk, closets and cupboards spilling over with stuff, desks with your whole work life on display, shelves with dusty decorations, surfaces collecting clutter and chairs and floors draped with clothing!
Let’ get conscious today and declutter one of these areas.
Let’s reclaim a space , clear of distraction and mess.
Declutter for fun and honour!
Honour your free space and have fun while you do it. This is exciting. Switch on some music or a radio chat show or podcast and have yourself a fun time.
This challenge is not overwhelming. Follow these simple instructions and you will experience a small, but significant, win. Get excited!
Expect Decluttering hurdles in your race
If you are umming or ahhing over an object, be decisive:
Do I use this?
Do I have a duplicate of this?
How much out of 10 is this of value in my life? If it’s less than 7, it goes!
The Space That Opens Up Ahead
The starting block of the race may well be difficult, but as you warm up and get in your stride you will begin to see the space begin to clear ahead of you, keep going. In the last stretches, you may be inclined to give up, but dig deep and get yourself across that finish line.
