About Me
As a born and bred Aussie guy who had a passion to see the world with my laptop in tow and a dream to help others, I found my way to London a couple of decades ago and now live here permanently. I now have a close-knit family of whom I am very proud.
After building a career in Education and moving into leadership, the many staff and pupils I have met have shaped my optimism for life and my positive communication skills.
Previously I had a career as an actor, then a recruitment manager, a classroom teacher, a Headteacher and an Education Consultant. However, I was always coaching clients on the side in communication, business and self-development skills.
With an insatiable curiosity for personal development and human potential, I completed a Graduate Diploma in Counselling. I later studied NLP with Paul McKenna and Richard Bandler before completing an Advanced Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy. You can find all my quals on my coaching page. I have always sought to find out what makes people tick and how to improve their happiness. This is a genuine passion of mine and has led me on to distil my findings in a series of published books. I have consistently worked with a number of clients on ways to reclaim their happiness and joy in life, to face even the toughest challenges with optimism and enthusiasm.
I have also had a lifelong fascination with reducing and streamlining ideas into practical systems, which led me to doing the same with my physical possessions. I first came across minimalism when I read a book by Francine Jay called “The Joy of Less, A Minimalist Living Guide.” Francine is an American who lived in London with her husband with only a few possessions.
I also love to write, study, teach, perform, organise, systemise and communicate with others.
My life is a journey of learning and I have faced the challenges that many others have too: relationship breakdowns, housing and career crises and a bout of skin cancer and treatment for it. However, I also nearly died.
Despite living a life of daily exercise, staying slim and eating healthily, I suffered a heart attack at a relatively young age and was taken to resus by the panic-stricken staff. A complete blood clot in an artery was the cause. I was very lucky to only have a tiny percentage of damage to my heart. I cannot thank the NHS staff enough for their amazing hard work, after all, I would have died without their intervention, The experience brought clarity to my life, and I could see that all the striving and climbing the ladder in my field of expertise had internally raised my stress levels and ultimately my blood pressure.
Although my colleagues would always say how positive and calm I appeared (even in the most stressful of situations), the underlying pressures had literally taken their toll on my health.
I now know my strengths
I am not the most conservative of workers and I get excited easily by new ideas, wanting to try them out as soon as possible. I found that I was able to inspire others into action and that my positive outlook on life contributed to helping them to make rapid change. I will always remain unconventional in my thinking, but I also always present what works in my life and importantly, what has worked for all those I have coached.
It’s ironic that as a previous Headteacher, I was the one who encouraged people to stretch the boundaries and occasionally break the rules. What kind of Headteacher was I? Certainly popular with my pupils.
What I can offer you
I have complete faith in your unique set of gifts, your personality, your ability to be light-hearted and positive, and most importantly, your good intentions. I believe that we can all improve our lives once we have a model to follow. I see myself as a role-model for others, and you can do the same.
No matter what your dreams or the obstacles you may face, you have complete control of how you feel and react to world events.
When you are responsible, you are free and strong
I'm here to serve. My website and coaching service is built on my passion for good and helping others achieve what is important in their lives. And if you don’t know what that is yet, I can help there as well.
Through my blogs, books, coaching, and future online training, I am here to make a difference in building a life you’ll love. A life that fits your unique self.
Whether you’re looking to be more positive, starting and growing a business, or seeking deeper meaning, I’m here to help you reach your potential and discover and build upon your current strengths.
This is my passion but it is also my business, and I do sell stuff. But I am proud of what I have to offer and feel my vast experience is worth the cost. My many blogs remain free and are packed with not only information on minimalism, but philosophy and steps to improve your life. In fact most of the information that you will find on my site is free advice, you’ll just find even more special stuff in what I produce and sell.
I don’t have the answers to every problem, and I, like you, make mistakes, However, I am determined to see things through and am one of the most loyal people you’ll ever meet. My commitment is strong.
I can be honest, straight up and to the point, but I am also warm, caring and giving. I deliver everything with honesty and the best possible intentions.
If you’ve read on to the end, thank you for listening. If we build a relationship from this point onwards, then I would love to hear more about you.
Please subscribe at the bottom of this page if you would like to receive further news from me. I also post regularly on Facebook.
Keep an eye out for my many FREEBIES. Many hours have gone into creating them, but much love has too.
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit. Our connection is the start of an exciting journey ahead.
All my best wishes,
Andrew
